Art Philanthropy: The Arts Council of Los Angeles

The former Century City Arts Council, taking the next major step in its exceptional journey since its creation in 2009, has reorganized itself in March 2026 as a stand-alone 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity under the new name:

The Arts Council of Los Angeles

This pivotal transition reflects the Council’s  broader mission and commitment to the greater Los Angeles community.
Founded on the universal truth that art is a cornerstone of our societal fabric, essential for bringing us together and unlocking our human potential, The Arts Council of Los Angeles aims to promote the enjoyment and appreciation of art and culture across our diverse communities, and to facilitate connections, creative exchange, and collaboration among professionals in the arts and related disciplines, through educational gatherings, inclusive programs, and landmark artistic initiatives.

Jean Tardy-Vallernaud is the Founder of the Council.
